A Power Rankings Premier League Preview with Mike Goodman
A special bonus podcast with Mike Goodman going through the "Rich Seven" setting the stage for the 2025/26 season
To get everyone ready for the start of the Premier League season, I thought it would be fun to bring on a guest that covers the Premier League at a more general and higher level than a more single club focused level like myself.
For this I am very happy to have had the chance to talk with Mike Goodman, he is co-host of the Double Pivot Podcast and the Senior Editor of Soccer at CBSSports.com

Scott and Mike make this a power rankings-based preview (everyone's favorite), going through the "Rich Seven" setting the stage for the 2025/26 season.
In this episode, we let Mike set the rankings (although they don't massively deviate from Scott's view) and talk through the summer business, how the squads look, and what questions we are looking to try and get answered about each team this coming season.
This is a great way to get ready and set the stage for the weekend.
If you enjoy the episode, it is always helpful to leave a rating and review to help the all important algorithms to get us in front of more people.
Arsenal sounds like the most balanced team, and if I am honest, there is not a weakness in the squad. Add too that, we have action on the left side and now up front who can score....and more importantly, we have depth. Very excited about this season.
