A Striker Shopping List for Arsenal

When you look at the Arsenal team there is an obvious area for improvement.

Looking at the team graphics, the current area that would probably do the most for the team in the chase for being solidly top four and then hopefully challenging for even bigger honors is a striker. Alexandre Lacazette has been good in the role that he has played but ideally, Arsenal would be able to find a player that could do similar things in the buildup but also more traditional striker things like scoring goals.

Stats 2021/22 through March 19

To go about trying to use stats to help narrow down players that could fit with Arsenal I have taken my rating system and used that to help create a shortlist of players that the stats think would be interesting to look at further.

The criteria I am going to use here are the following 1) 26 years old or younger, 2) have played at least 900 minutes in a "Big 5 League" + Eredivise and Liga NOS, and 3) have played 85% or more of their minutes as an attacker with at least 15% as a forward. Some of these parameters are designed to get certain players included that Arsenal have been linked with but I think still give a good overall population to look at.

I have narrowed the list down to 45 total names plus a few more with rumors around Arsenal. I am not going to go through each and every one of them because some players are obviously not going to be targeted by Arsenal for various reasons but will put them into four different tiers and look at the more interesting ones from within each group.

Tier 4 - Pretty good players, maybe second type guys for Arsenal
