As this unfolded over the weekend, one of the writers came to his own defense to justify and explain his thoughts.
@YankeeGunner @GiantGooner Because at the time one team had a manager who'd won everywhere he'd been before & the other had been playing well for seven games? Turned out to be sensationally wrong, but let's not pretend there wasn't logic to it at the time.
This I thought was interesting and worth further and deeper examination.
