Thanks, Scott. This was a great analysis and helped me rethink what I watched. The terrible pass to Eddie really stuck out to me (as well as his botched shot after the City goal) but his first half was quite good. Would be interested in your analysis of Jorginho who I thought was quite good on the night.
Great write up! Would love to see an analysis of Ødegaard's passing. It seemed way way off yesterday in multiple instances. Wondering if I was misreading those, or if we was actually passing poorly compared to usual.
He was another guy on my list that I didn't think played especially well. I am not sure I have the time for another full deep dove before the Villa match however.
My worry if I have one, is player fatigue. Arsenals “first 11” have played more minutes than any other team in the PL. it’s starting to take its toll on these young players....
I’m also worried about Mikel’s continuance with Eddie who has been anonymous in the past four games, and offered very little when out of possession, he doesn’t link up play or work hard enough.....
In addition he doesn’t appear to bring out the best in the wide players, they aren’t scoring either.......we need the Jesus back soonest, even when not scoring he is causing chaos across the oppositions defensive line and creates space for our wide players.....

Makes sense... no worries. Small timeframe between games will do that. Love this Substack.
PS Cannon Stats is the best, this is great work guys....
