Like pretty much any player who’s passed through Manchester City recently, Ferrán Torres has been linked with Arsenal, with reports stating Arsenal made an approach in summer and could come back in the January window with an offer around £43 million.

Ferrán has a CV that at first seems pretty impressive: Just 22, he’s played for Manchester City, Barcelona and seemed to be a nailed-on starter for the Spanish National Team at the 2022 World Cup. He was subject of a £50 million sale to Barcelona. He can play on the right wing, left wing or centrally as a number 9.

But based on what I’ve seen of him, especially recently, I don’t think he’s the guy for Arsenal. I’ll use some charts and numbers to describe why.
