Premier League Attacker Alternatives to Mudryk
Mykhailo Mudryk has chosen Chelsea, who else might make sense at Arsenal
So the Mykhailo Mudryk looks to be ending with a move to Chelsea rather than Arsenal. I have a bit of relief honestly as this move felt like it was moving into winner’s curse range, with the performances needed to justify the move going well into the 75th plus for the range of outcomes. It could happen but the outcomes where it is a bad move seem to outnumber the outcomes where it is a good move.
Let’s review each Premier League team and look at potential options to bolster the attacking depth.

I am going to do this in alphabetical order (excluding the top seven teams because I don’t imagine they would sell to Arsenal at this point).
Aston Villa
Leon Bailey is an intriguing player, he is a versatile player able to play across the front line. He comes in with a decent track record coming to the Premier League with some hype but having that drop off some.
I would say he is a decent player and one that would be a full backup player rather than say even a rotation option.
This is a hard pass for me.
Perhaps Ollie Watkins but he is more forward than wide player, he also picked up an injury so that would certainly limit the value for this season in a move.
Bournemouth
I don’t really see any players from this team in the attack that really interest me.
They are not a good team and the players there really aren’t all that exciting.
Brentford
Mbeumo has been pretty impressive and I think would translate well to a better team with a corresponding bump in his production.
Wissa is a bit older and would be my second choice among the Brentford players. He has had some good moments as well.
The last from Brentford would be Toney.
He is easily the best of the Brentford players but comes with not being a wide player and the threat of a lengthy ban hanging g over him for his betting investigation. These probably make any move for him a non-starter.
Brighton
Now here is a team with some possible options.
Trossard is versatile and has basically already made it known he wants to leave after a blow up. He has looked very impressive when he has played and there is the nice addition that the Brighton system is not that different stylistically than what Arsenal play. This might be realistic and a decent option.
Mitoma has exploded onto the scene and he is looking VERY good. The question here is would Brighton be willing to make a quick profit on him now or look to hold on a bit longer to solidify their position.
March plays on the right side so a bit different than some of the other links but one that I think also makes some sense given that Arsenal don’t have a ton of backup on that side eighter.
March looks solid but less so than the other two players from Brighton.
Crystal Palace
Zaha has been sort of linked to Arsenal going back to the Unai Emery days. He is getting to the end of his contract with Crystal Palace and that means I think this might something realistic. He would be a win now signing, a player that you hope could help make an impact over the next 4-5 months even if the back side of his stay might not be so impactful.
Olise would be a bet on the future over the immediate present but he is a very talented player. He doesn’t have a ton of goal production but is a player with a ton of potential.
Eh probably not for me.
Everton
Gray is probably the only real option from Everton and one that I don’t think would move the needle all that much. He would be very much a backup type player at Arsenal and if he played significant minutes I think something went wrong.
He’s young and playing in a bad team. Maybe that’s enough to warrant a move but probably not at this stage, maybe if Everton go down and are desperate for cash and would take a discount.
I guess he could be a plan B type striker. It would certainly give Arsenal a different option on the bench. He is well off his previous high points and it is hard to know how much of that is because Everton are disfunctional.
Fulham
A move for the lulz.
Nope.
Leeds
Adding an American would be cool but let’s be real, I don’t think he is good enough to make an impact at Arsenal.
This is a probably not from me. He looks like he would be a backup quality player at Arsenal.
Leicester
Barnes is a player who has been on the cusp for a long time but hasn’t quite taken the leap from talented young player to impactful superstar. He could still have some growth in his game but that is becoming less and less of a possibility as he is in the middle of his prime years.
Not a traditional wide player type but he has looked pretty solid playing in a bad Leicester team. If he was still interested and it wasn’t at a stupid fee and wage I think this would be something worth exploring.
Nottingham Forest
Gibbs-White is really the only player on Forest that interests me at all. He has looked pretty good in this team.
Southampton
The pickings at Southampton are pretty thin. This is a pass from me.
West Ham
Bowen doesn’t look great this year so this would be a bet that he could return to something closer to last season. If the fee was right I think that would be worth exploring but with West Ham teetering in the relegation fight it probably wouldn’t happen.
Benrahma has been the best attacking player on West Ham but that isn’t saying too much. I probably wouldn’t make this move unless it was at a massive discount.
Wolverhampton
Arsenal had an interest in the summer and he’s looked decent in his limited time this year. Certainly would be a maybe and worth exploring further depending on fee and wages.

Mioma or Tossard for me, but not over the Mudryk yet
I’d take a punt on Zaha for €10m and a Win-Now mindset. Palace aren’t fighting for Relegation or Europe and you’d imagine he’d be open to a club favorable deal (€110-€120k?) to have his dream move. 2.5 year deal with club option.
