It took all of about 18 hours for the first links in Arsenal’s ongoing attacker hunt to pop up.

Leandro Trossard, diminutive Belgian, Roberto de Zerbi frenemy and Liverpool slayer, is reportedly an option on Arsenal’s list, according to 90min.com.

🚨 90min understands Arsenal have explored a possible move for Brighton’s Leandro Trossard, who is seen as a more-attainable target than Kaoru Mitoma, who is also of interest. Arsenal are also among the sides monitoring Napoli sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. [@GraemeBailey] #afc

For Arsenal, links to Trossard go back to summer. Arteta reportedly likes him, and he does have the stylistic feel of an Arteta attacker. As things stand, he’s in the middle of a dramatic standoff with manager Roberto de Zerbi involving missed trainings, being left out of the squad and plenty of hurt feelings.
