I expect us to be every table for every top player as we continue to grow and develop as a club. The fact is the he had two options, he chose to play in a better climate in a league that is not as demanding, and that is his choice. Felt to me that Vinicius and Madrid both gave up ground. Agree that him staying was always the most likely outcome but will be interesting to see what the situation is in 12 months when he's had a season under Mourinho and still isn't the main man at the club.

I remain ambivalent about the Vini saga. Was it a distraction from other potential opportunities? I don’t know, but suspect it was.
Was he a player who really fit? The gunners work their socks off with and without the ball. Would vini work that hard?
