If you have a backup, homegrown striker who can score the winning brace against Manchester United, you don't think too hard and address other needs in the squad.

I appreciate the rationality but the problem with Nketiah for me is that he doesn’t bring anything special or even same what Jesus or Trossard. He is not a great all round on the ball and cannot do the false 9 ish role like the other two. He is great at pressing, but we do have to change our natural game when he plays. Having a different alternative like Toney or when we have Giroud and Laca provides alternatives to change if up against a deep block and actually be useful as a substitute.

Also how many games can Jesus be fit for? With PL and CL there could be a space for an alternative and like you said with other players, we should be ruthless.
