On this episode of the Cannon Stats podcast, Adam and Scott break down Arsenal’s kick in the balls loss against Aston Villa. It is a need catharsis and a nice way to get back to some analytical thinking about the match. One of the items that was brought up was the right-hand side bias that was on display (or maybe less so than we thought).
Overall, this was not a particularly extreme match for Arsenal on the tilt towards the right-hand side. Overall, for the season this is not a particular outlier performance with Arsenal still favoring the right even without Odegaard in the team.
The midfield also looks pretty balanced in the middle third:



One of the other topics referenced was Gyokeres who has a tendency to not always run out every situation, which Adam saw in the film while he was at Sporting.
